7 REASONS TO USE A REALTOR WHEN SELLING

Buying or selling a home can be a complex process. From knowledge of the market to negotiation skills, there are many reasons to consider a Realtor. Swipe right to discover the top reasons why hiring a real estate agent to sell your home can make all the difference.

So, I compiled a few reasons listed below...

  1. Realtors have up-to-date market knowledge &understand what the information MEANS: Realtors understand the local market, from pricing trends to neighborhood insights & recently ‘SOLDS’; they have the inside scoop. This means that they will be able to show you what the comparable homes have sold for and help you understand why your home is worth what it's worth or where you might be missing out on opportunities to increase your home's value! They understand the market trends, the data & the verbage that goes along with it. They are typically caught up to date & understand if it's a good time to sell or not.

  2. Negotiation Skills: An experienced real estate agent can negotiate the best deal on your behalf, potentially profiting you thousands! You'll want to find an agent who is not only experienced in negotiations but educated in theories behind negotiations. I have a specialized certificate that helps me negotiate complex and luxury deals. I also have a background in sales which I find helps me as well as my education and background in Social Work because it helps me to understand the Human Mind and apply different practical theories in my strategized negotiating.

  3. TIME!: With a Realtor handling property searches, negotiations, showings and paperwork, you can focus on what matters most to you. Simply put, you aren't going to want to sit at your home waiting for people to come in, deal with all the questions, handle many agents and inquires that often times are dead leads. More so, the paperwork is super boring.

  4. The MLS: Realtors can provide you with access to more listings (both Active and Sold) some of which may not be widely advertised. We also have access to 'Non-MLs' listings and can advertise in a different way then you can. Typically I like to list on multiple MLS boards to get a larger pool of buyers able to see my listings.

  5. Paperwork: Navigating real estate contracts can be complex. A Realtor will ensure you understand everything before signing. The thing is, a House is the largest investment of anyone's life. You really want to make sure you not only UNDERSTAND but are protected and insured during the process. Realtors have both liability and errors/omissions insurance.

  6. Ethics: Realtors are bound by a code of ethics and committed to treating parties fairly in a transaction.

  7. Price Guidance: Realtors can provide data to help you make an informed decision about the price you're willing to pay or accept. Listing to high can make it stay on market & get stigmatized, while pricing too low can cause you to lose out BIG!
